IDEAS H2020 project covered today in The Times

IDEAS in association with Mayo County Council. are unveiling the demonstartor technology installation at Brackloon/Drummin Community Centre. The Centre is showcasing the projects’ innovative energy efficiency and sustainability technology.

The efficiency of the Centre’s heating system is improved with a state of the art solar thermal and PV system combined with novel heat-pump technology and the latest in building heating systems controls.

The event will demonstrate the IDEAS technology in action with presentations from Professor Sarah MacCormack of Trinity College.

Duncan Stewart, of RTÉ’s EcoEye, will also present to the meeting placing the IDEAS system in the context of our need to urgently address the biodiversity and climate crisis.

Conall Bolger, Chief Executive Officer at Irish Solar Energy Association (ISEA) will discuss the state of the wider Irish solar sector

Members of the consortium will also be present to discuss and explain every aspect of the project’s innovative sustainability system.
